PURPOSE OF THE POST:
To support children, young people and their families in Tallaght where
mental health difficulties are impacting on educational participation.
The School Engagement and Wellbeing (SEW) Coordinator will work with
schools, families and a range of agencies to improve engagement and
wellbeing in school.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Coordinate the collaborative design and delivery of a comprehensive
training programme and toolkit to schools and support services aimed
at reducing school avoidance in Tallaght, based on existing county and
national resources
* Using an interagency approach, agree and document referral
criteria and appropriate systems to be included in the toolkit and
training package
* Work with pilot schools and school stakeholders to create action
plans and implement evidence-based, school-based early interventions
* Working directly with families where mental health needs are
impacting on school participation, coordinate supports using an
interagency approach in collaboration with Tusla?s Education Welfare
Service (EWS)
* Coordinate an embedded action research project related to the
above interagency family support, in collaboration with external
research support and EWS
* Undertake monitoring and data collection of all aspects of the
initiative supported by CDI?s data specialist and in line with
record and data protection systems
* Manage project grants, ensuring adherence to budget and contract,
and the submision of high quality, timely reports
* Be an active and supportive team member
* Any other duties as required.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
_MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:_
* A bachelors degree or Quality and Qualifications Ireland Level 8
(or Higher) major academic award in a relevant discipline (eg health,
education, psychology, youth work, social science)
_REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:_
* At least three years relevant experience
* Experience of working with schools (primary and/or secondary)
* Demonstrable experience of delivering evidence-informed
interventions and a good understanding of the processes which enable
improved outcomes
* A track record in leading multi-agency processes
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
OTHER REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIC TO THE POST.
Driving Licence and access to vehicle are essential.

with diverse stakeholders and have the ability to engender trust and
credibility.
CONTRACT

REMUNERATION
Annual remuneration is based on a salary scale (?**Apply on the

hour working week, and will be commensurate with experience.
